Step 1
Rotate stamping block so it's positioned in a diamond shape. To stamp vertically on the bracelet blank, place bracelet blank vertically on stamping block. Secure bracelet stamp guide on the steel blank vertically along the side of the bracelet blank. Then secure another bracelet bank horizontal across the blank, lining up the top edge of the guide with an orange hash mark on the vertical stamp guide. Make sure that the main orange hash mark on the horizontal guide is in the middle of the ⅛” bracelet blank. To stamp horizontally on the bracelet blank, place bracelet blank horizontally on stamping block and secure a bracelet stamp guide on the steel blank horizontally along the side of the bracelet blank. The stamp guide will assist in evenly spacing out letters and aligning stamp impressions.
TIP: Use stamp tape to secure the bracelet blank to the stamping block so it doesn’t move while stamping.
TIP: Write desired message directly onto the stamp guide and utilize the guideline marks for spacing. For 3mm letters, stamp in between the black and orange hash marks. For thin 4mm letters, stamp on every black hash mark. Remember to leave a space between words.
Step 2
Place stamp on blank, above the corresponding mark on the stamp guide. To line of stamp in the center of the bracelet blank, tilt stamp to determine placement then rock stamp back until it's flat. To stamp vertically on the bracelet blank, lightly drag stamp towards the guide until the stamp catches the edge of the guide. Then for vertical and horizontal stamping, hold stamp flat and firmly in place by anchoring the side of your hand on workspace. Then strike stamp once with medium force using Metal Stamping Hammer. Move stamp guide down, and repeat stamping technique to desired word or quote. Remove stamp guide.
TIP: If the stamp has an ImpressArt logo, make sure it is facing you so that the impression is stamped in the correct direction.
TIP: Slightly tilt the stamp towards you while dragging the stamp towards the guide. Make sure you hold the stamp flat and firmly in place before striking the stamp.
TIP: For 3mm letters, stamp in between the black and orange hash marks. For thin 4mm letters, stamp on every black hash mark. Remember to leave a space between words.
Step 3
Highlight impressions with Stamp Enamel. Wait 3-5 minutes and then dab the excess enamel into the impressions with a paper towel before lightly wiping it away from the surface of the blank.
Step 4
Buff stamped blank to a brilliant, high-shine finish using High Polish Finish Blocks. Use fine grit to quickly clean and polish blanks. Hold buffing block in the palm of the hand and move the block in even, back and forth strokes to remove dirt and dried enamel left on the raised surfaces. Use extra fine grit for buffing to a high shine. Hold buffing block in the palm of hand and buff in tiny, back and forth strokes with light pressure to get a mirror-like shine.
Step 5
Use the Bracelet Bending Bar to bend the blank into a cuff shape. Place one end of blank into the channel with the stamped side facing up. Firmly place your thumb against the end of the bracelet to secure it in place. Using the palm of your hand, bend the bracelet half way around the bar until it forms a 90-degree angle. Repeat on the other side to finish shaping a bracelet.
Step 6
Continue to round out the cuff with Bracelet Bending Pliers. Match the curvature of the pliers to the curvature of the bracelet. Then begin in the center of the bracelet and squeeze down. Work towards each end to give bracelet a rounded finish.
