Instructions

Step 1

Place ornament on stamping block.

TIP: Use stamp tape to secure the ornament to the stamping block so it doesn’t move while stamping.

Step 2

Stamp desired message around the perimeter of the blank by placing your stamp on the blank and lightly dragging it towards the edge until the outside edge of the stamp is even with the edge of the blank. Hold stamp flat and firmly in place by anchoring the side of your hand on workspace. Then strike stamp once with medium force using Metal Stamping Hammer. Repeat to complete desired message, turning the stamping block while working to ensure that the stamp is facing the correct direction.

TIP: If the stamp has an ImpressArt logo, make sure it is facing you so that the impression is stamped in the correct direction.

Step 3

Stamp design stamps of your choice on the blank to further personalize the ornament.

TIP: Use the Tilt & Tap technique to stamp 6mm and larger stamps, or stamps with more details. While applying pressure to the stamp, strike once with medium force. Then without lifting stamp, continue to strike while very slightly tilting the stamp in a circular motion to catch all sides of the design.

Step 4

Highlight impressions and ornament design details with Stamp Enamel Marker. Wait 3-5 minutes and then wipe away excess from the surface of the ornament.

Step 5

Attach a ribbon to the top of the ornament using a Lark’s Head Knot. Fold the length of the ribbon in half at the center. Take the fold and slide it through the hole in the ornament. Take the two ends of the ribbon and pass them through the loop made by the fold of the ribbon. Pull tight to secure ribbon to ornament.
